Angry Birds Space revealed by an astronaut in outer space!

The NASA astronaut Don Pettit gave the mobile game developer Rovio a boost by revealing the game Angry Birds Space on the international space station. As you can see in the video, Don Pettit is explaining the properties of physics by using the Angry Birds characters which is very cool!

According to Novio:

“This collaboration began with a simple Twitter exchange about birds and pigs in space, and it has grown into a tremendous outreach and education opportunity,” added David Weaver, associate administrator for communications at NASA Headquarters in Washington, in a statement. “Games are fun and entertaining, but they also can be inspirational and informative. This ongoing collaboration with Rovio and Angry Birds is an exciting way to get people engaged with NASA’s missions of exploration and discovery, and get students energized about future careers in science and technology.”

In this way, Novio and NASA are trying to use gaming as a channel to educatate people in an informative and inspirational way.

 

Even National Geographic Books is also a launch partner of Angry Birds Space. It is official that they will publish a companion Angry Birds Space book about ‘’ the solar system and beyond the mysterious corners of the universe filled with black holes, exploding stars and alien worlds.’’  This will lend gamers a wing to understand the  universe more which will leads for more fun. This book will be launched on March 20, so be prepared!

Angry Birds Space will have an astronomy theme with such as zero gravity, ‘light speed’ destruction, and slow-motion puzzles to make sure that the gamers can experience the extra-terrestrial conditions. Sounds cool! This game is really challenging, because there would be 60 levels including new Angry Birds characters nd new superpowers.

Angry Birds Space will be launched on March 22 so are ready to go outer space with Angry Birds and discover the great universe?
