Charlie Sheen, the Social Media Winner

Two and a Half Men is one of my favorite shows, not that I follow it regularly but if it’s there, I’ll be glued to the TV. When I read the news that the producer of Two and a Half Men, Chuck Lorre decided to cancel the show, Charlie Sheen suddenly popped up everywhere in the social media world. He rants, tweets, YouTube, and rumor has it that he also now has his own online show called, ‘Sheen’s Korner.’

Charlie Sheen created his Twitter account, @CharlieSheen on March 1 with no tweet at all, he reached 60,000 followers in no time and besides setting a world record of the ‘Highest Paid TV Actor Per Episode,’ Sheen has won a Guinness World Record of the ‘Fastest Time to Reach 1 Million Followers,’ just to add to that social media fame.

Dubbed himself as the unemployed winner, Sheen has also been spoofed by Jimmy Fallon, where Fallon played Sheen in a fake perfume commercial call, ‘Winning.’ It’s been 7 days of all Charlie Sheen, I couldn’t help but wonder what’s next for Sheen, is his constant rants and statement going to continue on the news or is he going to slowly fade away like a fad that comes and goes. Lesson to learn though is that any publicity is good publicity and Charlie Sheen is winning all that.

Are you a Charlie Sheen fan? What are your thoughts on his social media behavior?
