Facebook to be integrated into iOS 6?
In the past few years, there has been an immense amount of speculation over the integration of Facebook into iOS 6. Now, Facebook finally will be integrated in the newest version.
According to Techcrunch:
“To be clear, Twitter will still very much be a part of the new iOS (presumably named “iOS 6″ and codenamed “Sundance“). But Facebook integration will be very important for iOS — tonnes of apps use Facebook for sign-ups and authentication (many use Facebook as the only way to do this, to the dismay of some). Apple has been undoubtedly watching this activity and realised that it was time to formally bring Facebook on board.” the report says.”
Earlier in May, Facebook already released its Facebook Camera app look a bit similar as iOS camera app and this is also the first app with its name ‘Camera’. Now, we could say that they have been planning for a long time to cooperate.
The Facebook integration would be more convenient for users; it means a quicker process for updating statuses and sharing photos. Users of iPhone 4S can post directly their photos on Twitter and back then, the integration with Facebook was cancelled at the last minute. Besides the Facebook integration, there could be more new features on iOS6 such as redesign of the App Store, iTunes Store and iBookstore. Other rumors said that there will be an improved camera interface. According to 9to5mac, an Airdrop capability could be included, so lets see whether Apple would be the first one with this service.
The Facebook integration could be unveiled at WWDC on June 11. So lets wait for it!
