HTC Sues Apple in U.K. After The Loss In U.S.

Asia’s second-biggest maker of smartphones, HTC Corp.  is now in serious legal battle with its enemy, Apple Inc. They are suing the iPhone maker in Britain.

Two weeks after HTC lost a rulling against Apple at the U.S. International Trade Commission, the complaint was filed July 29 in London. However, the nature of the new lawsuit was not specified in the Notice of U.K.

Apple asked the ITC in March 2010 to block imports of HTC phones, alleging they infringe patents related to the implementation of operating systems. HTC said it will appeal for that judgement.

Last month, HTC announced that it would buy S3 Graphics Co. for $300 million to boost the legal protection of its products as S3 has won an ITC ruling against Apple.

So far, Apple and HTC refused to comment about this latest case.
