Instagram announces 27 Million users, Android app coming soon

The founder of Instagram, Kevin Systrom, has announced on Sunday at the SXSW conference that the popular, hot photo-filtering and sharing app Instagram has nearly doubled its total number of registered users since December 2011.  Now it seems like that Instagram is on its way to Google’s mobile operating system.

At the SXSW conference the CEO Kevin Systrom said ‘’ “We’ve been able to put together one of the most incredible Android apps you will ever see and it’s extremely fast’’. So the hottest free photo sharing app Instagram would be available soon for Android users.

Instagram is a free iOS app which is letting users to touch up and share through its network with people across the world! Besides this, users can upload their photos on Social Networks like Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook. Instagram on Android would be as similar as the full-size images on Facebook Timeline. This would be a new cool feature! As Instagram was founded in March 2009,  now there are 27 million registered users while in last May it was at 4.5 million.  Really amazing! However, this app is now only available for iOS, but soon it will be launched for the Android app and for now the Android app is currently being tested by private beta.

According to Kevin Systrom: ‘“In some ways, it’s better than our iOS app. It’s crazy. said the app is fast, works great on large screens and can share photos to Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and other networks’’. So Android users, be prepared for Instagram, it might be the best Android apps ever!
