Post Photos To Twitter Via SMS
Most people access Twitter via Appon their Smart Phones. But not every one has a Smart Phone. There are still plenty of users who access Twitter via mobile web browser on their phones and send updates through text messages.
Nearly four billion SMS messages are sent and received on Twitter every month. In the past, users were only limited to sending text updates and cannot upload photos. Twitter is now letting users send photos via text messages. Just enter the text of your Tweet as you normally would, attach a photo to the message and send to Twitter.
Aside from being able to post photos via text, Twitter has also enhanced some features. Last year anyone in the U.S. can instantly receive Tweets on their phone, even if they don’t have a Twitter account by sending a text message. This feature is now available globally with any carrier that offers Twitter SMS.
Users can also send one-word commands to get information. Commands such as “suggest” lets you get suggestions for accounts to follow.
The feature is available on AT&T, Verizon and Cellular South in the United States, Vodafone, O2 and Orange in the UK, Vodafone Italy, Rogers Communications in Canada, VIVA Bahrain, and TIM Brazil. Twitter says it will work with other carriers to expand the feature.
