Qualcomm Launches Augmented Reality SDK For iOS
Qualcomm had launched a software development kit(SDK) for building Augmented Reality(AR) app on Android. And now it is the turn for iOS.
With the the SDK, developers are able to build all kind of AR games and apps without the need to recreate the wheel by coding their own visual-recognition system.
A beta release of the iOS-compatible SDK was rolled into Qualcomm’ s developer center in the past few hours. It is quite surprising since they previously said that their main focus was building the platform for devices running their Snapdragon chips, not for Apple devices. But now we will have the SDK support for the iPhone 4, iPad2 and fourth generation iPod Touch.
