Samsung To Launch Galaxy S2 Next Month In U.S.

President of Samsung’s mobile business and digital imaging, Shin Jong-Kyun said the Galaxy S2 will be released in the U.S. market sometime in August, following  their tablet computer Galaxy tab 10.1 that was released last month.

The new Galaxy S2 has already been launched in South Korea, Japan and Europe. Compared to its older version of galaxy smartphones, it is faster, thinner and lighter. The smartphone recorded sales of 3 million units within 2 months in Japan and Europe.

However, Samsung is going to face a strong competition from its rival Apple which is going to release its latest iPhone5 in September.

Shin expects the smartphone sale to top 60 million this year, beating its annual target.
