Spotify App comes to Blackberry App World

Great news for Blackberry users! Today it’s official that Spotify is available through the Blackberry’s App World.

Blackberry users were already able to download Spotify through the web browser. Now users can download it right from App World, but not for every Blackberry owner. Only owners of BlackBerry 5 or later device can go into the App World and download the music streaming app. Spotify is bringing users to a new world by letting them search and listen to track and album. Furthermore, users can build and share libraries of playlists and integrate with social media feeds such as Facebook

Pascal de Mul, Spotify’s Global Head of Hardware Partnerships said: ‘’Spotify’s aim is to help music lovers all over the world to enjoy, discover and share music. With the launch of the Spotify BlackBerry app on App World, we are delighted to be able to extend the reach of our app to millions of BlackBerry users across the world’’

The Premium subscription costs $9.99 per month, which allows you to stream in their catalogue and save music on your device in order to listen it offline. Handy tool though. The Spotify app is free for download and BlackBerry users can sign up to 48 hour free trial to give it a spin.

Martyn Mallick, VP Global Alliances and Business Development at Rim said: ‘’Communications and sharing are at the heart of the BlackBerry user experience and the social deliverability element of the Spotify app perfectly aligns with what our customers want.’’

Spotify is trying to release apps on every platform in order to reach the company goal. So check it out here.
