Twitter Adds More Multimedia Content
Twitter now allows users to access more multimedia content from Amazon,AOL Video, Gowalla, Foursquare, Meetup and Plancast without leaving the site.
Last year, Twitter released #NewTwitter that allows direct integration with third-party tools such as DailyBooth, iTunes, Ustream, YouTube and TwitPic. With the integration, users are be able to see images or watch videos directly in their Twitter stream when a link from a supported service appeared in the tweet.
Twitter has also added five services: Blip.tv, Instagram, Slideshare, Rdio, Dipdive within the stream in December.
Now the six social tools are integrated into Twitter. So when your friend tweet a link from Amazon,AOL Video, Gowalla, Foursquare, Meetup and Plancast, multimedia from that service will appear.
After the launch of #NewTwitter, several startups have also created tools for embedding third-party content into the Twitter stream.
Will this feature make you use Twitter more? For me, it will.
