Twitter updates its mobile website

Twitter has announced about the new updates on its mobile website.  Due to various mobile phones and browsers the new updates will make the Twitter website more consistent.

Satya Patel, Twitter vice president of product wrote:

‘’In this updated version of mobile.Twitter.com, you can see all the Tweets from the accounts you follow in the Home tab and check your @mentions in the Connect tab. You can see what’s trending in the Discover tab, and access your direct messages and Tweets in the Me tab.’’

So now the Twitter website mobile.twitter.com is organized into four channels: Home, Connect, Discover and Me.

The users will notice that the new Twitter website will be faster than before. And the site will use one-third less bandwidth.

It seems like that Twitter also focus on low-signal devices and features phones. Now the non-smartphones users have the same access on their mobile device as well.

“in an effort to give every person on the planet a consistent Twitter experience,” it is standardizing Twitter for all devices, networks, and browsers.’’

If you are using a feature phone, let us know your experience! Probably, it will take some time to get used to the new navigation, but it is faster than before though!
