Viddy the ‘Instagram for video’ has made an impressive movement. The Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg joined Viddy and uploaded a video on his Facebook.

Viddy is a video shooting, sharing and social networking app for iPhone.  It lets users to upload a video of 15 seconds. This app is quite similar to Instagram as you can apply a number of effects and filters to the video. After you customized your video you can share your creation with your friends on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. You can even follow people and see which videos are hot.

Viddy has been downloaded by more than 15 million users and now Mark Zuckerburg is giving a boost on it. Mark Zuckerberg has joined Viddy which has created more than thousands of followers.  The clip of his dog has brought a wave of publicity on Viddy.  Now, it has introduced even more new users to Viddy due to Mark Zuckersberg video.

Alan Patricof of venture-capital firm Greycroft Partners, which invests in Viddy said: ‘Thank you, Mark Zuckerberg’’

Viddy could definitely benefit from this exposure. Since Viddy has integrated its mobile app with Timeline, more users are sharing videos with friends.  The reason of Mark Zuckerberg to join Viddy can be anything.  However, this sign-up is also positive for Facebook as Viddy is getting more traffic through Facebook.

It is amazing how quickly-growing apps and services can be increased by Facebook. So would Mark Zuckerberg sign up for other apps in the future to create more publicity for Facebook or the other new apps?
