Vocre 2.0 for iOS brings live translation to video calls

Vocre 2.0 is a real-time translation service and it will be available soon in the iOS App Store. This app will help people who speak different native tongues to communicate through live video. So there wouldn’t be language barriers anymore?!

The first version of Vocre was launched in September. However, this app didn’t become very popular due to a lot of bugs. Now, the version 2.0 has a new feature; live language translation during video calls. We all have ever dreamed to speak or understand more languages in order to communicate with other cultures, right?

According to Andrew Lauder, co-founder and CEO of Vocre;

“To all those who thought it was magical how we made sci-fi fantasy a reality with Vocre 1.0, we’re here to further blow their minds with today’s sneak peek at Vocre 2.0. The language translation market is ripe for innovation and disruption and our intent is to continually usher in services and products that up the ante and help make it easier to remove all language barriers from the world. We strongly believe Vocre 2.0 is the beginning of a new communication revolution by enabling anyone to carry an interpreter in their pocket.”

The impossible is possible! Vocre 2.0 will be the intermediary between two people who speak different native tongues.  It will include live translation through video calls and messaging. Furthermore your conversation can be saved in History. There will be Premium Services available for users who want a higher quality as well. But just check the free version 2.0 first right? The interface would be as similar as Facetime so would be very convenient though.

So how many languages will this app support? The app currently supports 23 languages in 22 countries, featuring Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese), Danish, Dutch, English (Australia, United Kingdom, United States), French (Canada, France), German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil, Portugal), Russian, Spanish (Mexico, Spain, United States), and Swedish. Seems a lot!

If you want to stay ahead of this update, you can sign up on their website http://www.vocre.com/beta and you will be notified when Vocre 2.0 is launched!
